چکیده

Virtual reality-based rehabilitation (VRBR) is being used in after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). This meta-analysis assesses the effect of immediate and/or maintained VRBR (alone or combination with conventional therapy (CT) TKA recovery. To perform this meta-analysis, we searched PubMed, SCOPUS, WOS, CINAHL, and PEDro until 5 February 2023. We included randomized controlled trials that assessed improving pain function, dynamic balance, range motion (ROM), strength, among others, TKA. The pooled was calculated Cohen’s standardized mean difference (SMD) a 95% confidence interval (95% CI). Twelve studies, providing data from 997 participants (69.9 ± 8.1 years old), were included. At post-immediate assessment, effective (SMD = −0.36; CI −0.56 to −0.17), function −0.51; −0.75 −0.27), balance −0.59; −1.02 −0.15), flexion ROM 0.4; 0.17 0.62), extension strength 0.43; 0.19 0.68). Our findings showed immersive non-immersive be TKA, on may over 3 6 months. A high level satisfaction adherence reported.

Postoperative autotransfusion drain after total hip arthroplasty: a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

The use of a postoperative autotransfusion drain (PATD) to reduce allogenic blood transfusions in total hip arthroplasty (THA) remains controversial. Therefore, we conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of this technique. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were identified from PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL). Thirteen RCTs...

Pain Management Modalities after Total Knee Arthroplasty: A Network Meta-analysis of 170 Randomized Controlled Trials.

BACKGROUND Optimal analgesia for total knee arthroplasty remains challenging. Many modalities have been used, including peripheral nerve block, periarticular infiltration, and epidural analgesia. However, the relative efficacy of various modalities remains unknown. The authors aimed to quantify and rank order the efficacy of available analgesic modalities for various clinically important outcom...

No clinical benefit of gender-specific total knee arthroplasty: A systematic review and meta-analysis of 6 randomized controlled trials

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE There is no consensus regarding the clinical relevance of gender-specific prostheses in total knee arthroplasty (TKA). We summarize the current best evidence in a comparison of clinical and radiographic outcomes between gender-specific prostheses and standard unisex prostheses in female patients. METHODS We used the PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, Science Citation Index, and Sc...

Rivaroxaban for thromboprophylaxis after total hip or knee arthroplasty: a meta-analysis with trial sequential analysis of randomized controlled trials

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is the most widespread severe complication after total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA). We conducted this meta-analysis to further validate the benefits and harms of rivaroxaban use for thromboprophylaxis after THA or TKA. We thoroughly searched PubMed, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials. Trial sequential analysis...
